"Adolescent screen time has increased by over 80% in the last decade, with the average teen now spending more than 7 hours daily on digital devices." - American Academy of Pediatrics, 2023
About Us
Beyond the Screen began with a simple idea: helping young people find balance in a digital world. After noticing how screen time was affecting our own lives and those around us, we started exploring better ways to relate to our devices. This personal journey sparked the development of our 5-stage method for digital wellbeing.
We're just getting started on our mission to partner with schools, families, and community groups. Our growing team includes members passionate about mental health and youth development who believe in a positive approach to technology. We don't see screens as the enemy—we simply want to help create healthier relationships with them. Through our structured approach, we hope to guide young people toward using technology intentionally while rediscovering the joy of offline experiences.
Our mission is to address the growing crisis of excessive screen use among youth and young adults. We aim to raise awareness about the impacts of digital overuse, educate communities on healthy technology habits, and provide practical guidance for recognizing problematic screen behaviors. Through our 5-stage method, we offer resources and support to young people struggling with technology dependence. These efforts are dedicated to helping the next generation reclaim their attention, mental wellbeing, and real-world connections.
If you share our vision for a more balanced digital life, we'd love for you to join us in this important work!
